Our Lady of Grace - The Annunciation 21-007 Fine Art Poster 21x29.7 cm / 8x12"

Scriptural Foundation: Luke 1:26–38

Our Lady of Grace — The Annunciation invites us to draw near to the Blessed Mother at the sacred moment when the angel Gabriel brings God’s message to Nazareth. Mary listens, questions with humility, and freely offers her consent. Through her faithful yes, she welcomes the mystery of becoming the mother of Jesus, the Son of God.

Saint Luke reveals the tenderness of this encounter. Gabriel greets Mary as one favored by God and assures her of the Lord’s presence. When she asks how this promise will be fulfilled, he tells her that the Holy Spirit will come upon her and the power of the Most High will overshadow her. The child to be born will be holy, the Son of God.

Mary’s response rises from a heart ready to serve. She entrusts herself to the Lord, accepting a future whose joys and sorrows she cannot yet fully see. Her surrender is courageous and loving: a willing gift of herself to God and to His saving purpose.

We honor her as Our Lady of Grace because her life bears witness to the generosity of God, whose grace she receives and answers with faith. Every honor we offer our Blessed Mother leads us toward her beloved Son. Her maternal tenderness draws our attention to Jesus, whom she welcomes, carries, and gives to the world.

The one we venerate as Queen of Heaven and Earth stands here in the quiet humility of Nazareth. Her greatness flowers in faithful service; her beauty shines through a heart open to the Lord.

May we learn from her to listen with patience, to trust amid uncertainty, and to answer God with willing love.

Our Lady of Grace, pray for us, that our hearts may become more receptive to your Son.
